MEET RHONA the founder of body tonic

Originally from the Highlands of Scotland, my journey in movement began with the discipline and artistry of classical ballet. However, my aspirations in dance took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis and Graves’ Disease — two rare autoimmune conditions that profoundly reshaped the course of my life.

During my recovery, I was introduced to the GYROTONIC Method. Its fluid, expansive, and integrative approach to movement resonated deeply with me. This led me to train with master teachers in New York, San Francisco, and London, eventually becoming a certified GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS trainer. In 2011, I founded Body Tonic Edinburgh — a dedicated space for mindful movement, healing, and restoration.
